Kate is an international instructor horse trainer and competitor in the eventing, stadium jumping and dressage disciplines. Based now in Maryland, she brings the experience and dedication to training you and your horse to its greatest potential.

Kate is one of those enthusiastic horse lovers, who effects the people around her with her sense of adventure, optimism and an energy that makes even the most enormous obstacles seem possible. I guess you have to be this sort of person to have a deep passion for eventing - for this is a sport where so many factors ... the horse ... the rider ... the training ... the bravery ... health and soundness and above all good luck, are so much a part of achieving one’s goals.

The partnership that you develop with your horse is also an important factor in your riding experience. Partnerships with your equine partners are developed over time. You must become the leader of the herd, and they must trust that you will not ask of them more than they can perform. In response, they will give their best when you ask.
